Education & Training
Christchurch Girls’ High School (Painting & Printmaking) followed by a BSc in Zoology at the University of Canterbury, Jane later trained in fine porcelain restoration (1981–82). Her practice has continued to evolve through workshops with leading artists in New Zealand and abroad, alongside study in illustration and design.

Exhibitions & Representation
Jane has exhibited since 1995 in solo and group shows across New Zealand, with work held in galleries nationwide.

Awards
Highly commended in the Charles Upham Portrait Competition, Jane has since been recognised with the Aspiring Art Award (2012) and selected as a finalist for both the Adam Portrait Award (2018) and the Margaret Mahy Illustration Award (2019).

Commissions
Her commissioned work spans private portraits, illustrated publications, public art projects, and charitable initiatives, including works for Christchurch City Council and the Giraffe Auction. Each commission is approached as a collaboration, shaped by story, subject, and place.
