Jane and Tom have transformed a derelict rural site into a colourful, relaxed, and quietly joyful garden, shaped by learning, curves, and a strong respect for the surrounding vistas. Drawing inspiration from New Zealand and overseas gardens, they’ve reimagined the space while keeping its magnificent views firmly in focus.

Sculptures by Jane and Tom are placed throughout the garden, while Jane’s studio offers works for sale and workshops during the garden festival. The project continues to evolve, including a new picking bed for still life inspiration and seasonal flowers for local use.

Throughout the year The Top Cottage is open for viewing. Visitors are invited to slow down, sit on the sun-drenched veranda, and enjoy all that ‘The Top Cottage’ offers. All current tour details are below.
